xrandr rotation: avoid panning of virtual screen

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up my xorg.conf so that I can use xrandr rotation. I use the current binary nvidia driver.

In order to have a sufficiently large virtual screen for rotating, I added a statement defining my virtual screen size to be 1600x1600 px. Rotating the screen works fine.

The problem: I can pan / scroll around in the virtual screen with the mouse. A 1600x1200 desktop sits in an otherwise black 1600x1600 virtual screen. I'd like to disable this panning, so that I just have a "stable" 1600x1200 screen which I can rotate. How can I achieve this?

Many thanks in advance

  Jürgen
