Well...after my last system upgradation, the kazehakase browser turned unusable. It would start up as usual, but when any address is entered and the "GO" button is clicked, it crashes immediately. When started with console, it gives a message reads "failed to run kzMozXXXX". I don't remember the exact message 'cause I'm currently not working with that PC. I tried to reinstall it and to clear all the settings of it, but the problem remains.
Here comes the full error message: Kazehakase-Gecko-ERROR **: KzGeckoEmbed: Faild to init KzMozWrapper!

Does it work on that where you're now ? Doesn't work it after a downgrade ? what wm do you use ? Was there a kernel update too ?

I use customized kernel, so there is no kernel upgrade. The WM is gnome. No downgrade has been attempted. I personally suppose this problem is caused by the xulrunner. Any suggestions to handle it ?

I tried to downgrade the xulrunner as well as epiphany and firefox. Now everything works well. It seems that the latest version of xulrunner does conflict with kazehaxxx ... now I have to keep firefox from upgrading.

And of course bugreport it for the community

Just going to say I have the same problem.
Should we lodge a bugreport on the AUR? Development on Kazehakase appears to have died.

Same issue here, even with latest xulrunner update. I guess it's time to switch to Midori...
Done.
Bug filed.

made a patch to make it work with the latest version of xulrunner, http://www.dm9.se/?page_id=149
instructions:
download the patch to same dir as the PKGBUILD
add the following line in the build function below cd "$srcdir/$pkgname-$pkgver" in your PKGBUILD
patch -p0 -i ../../kazehakase-0.5.6.patch
// sluggo
