Firefox and printing selection

Is there a way to enable selection printing in Firefox? I mean the process where one first highlights a part of the text on the page with mouse and then, in the print dialogue, chooses to print the selection. In FF 3.5 I can only choose between all or some pages, but I can't print any highlighted text. This shouldn't be a driver issue as for example OpenOffice.org prints selections, and as far as I can remember, Winblows Firefox can too.

Re: Firefox and printing selection

Yes I also cannot print selection.

Using Shiretoko/3.5.2, Linux x86_64, KDE 4.3, hplip 3.9.6b, officejet pro 7680 on network.

Whatever printer I use I see not selection printing.

What are we missing?

Re: Firefox and printing selection

I'm wondering now if this is implemented on linux. The linux specific version of this page shows no selection printing option:

Re: Firefox and printing selection

Got it!
The 'print selection only' option is on the Options tab and not on the first General tab.
Just tried it and it works.
