Looking for a tiling WM?

Hello, I'm trying to find a Tiling WM, I really like the way it works, but I don't like having a bar at the top. What's the most similar tiling WM that doesn't come default with a nasty eyesore?

Re: Looking for a tiling WM?

What do you mean by "the way it works" ?

There are at least 2 kinds of tiling WMs....

Recommendations:

1. manual tiling
musca - good floating support / very easy configuration
ratpoison - classic

2. automatic tiling
Xmonad - minimalistic, yet powerful

P.S.: Does it really make sense to use Awesome without a statusbar ? I thought that widgets'n'stuff was the main idea about Awesome. *g*

xmonad.  very sane defaults - just install and use (follow the walkthrough on xmonad.org).

most users struggle /adding/ a status bar to it.  sounds like a perfect match.

He probably means "Its a classic" - typical german mistake tongue

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

Why don't you use awesome? IIRC, you can turn off the statusbar.
