Hi Arch users,
i would like and ask you for some help. I had arch with kernel 2.6.26 instaled on my Mini Note 2133 installed. Sound was working out of the box.
I had to re-install arch (because I changed the disk partition) and sound ins now not working.
arch-linux 2.6.30
As far as I can remember, both installs are identical.
my rc.conf file looks

Have you tried to set the soundcard using alsaconf? Wha is the output of
head -n 1 /proc/asound/card0/codec*
?

The HP2133 has not had sound issues since alsa-1.0.16, a year ago. E.g, it works fine here :-)
Two things:
Add your user to the "audio" group. You should not have to use sudo to launch amixer.
Right now, you have every output muted. You should fix that, and run "alsactrl store" to make sure the volume levels stick.
