[TeX Live] latex/pdflatex ignore -interaction=nonstopmode switch?

Hi there,

I've recently started working on a latex text for the first time since the switch to TeX Live from TeTeX. For some reason it appears that the --interaction=nonstopmode switch no longer works when you compile a document. pdflatex and latex just stop for input at the first input encountered regardless.

This is an incredibly annoying bug, since it breaks editing in kile -- which hangs on compilation when this happens.

Anyone got an idea why this might be happening?

-interaction=nonstopmode

Note only one dash.

Err.. sorry for not replying to that.

I actually meant -interaction=nonstopmode, which is the option kile uses by default. I haven't been able to figure out what causes the bug, but rolling back TeX live to 2008-5 solved the issue for me.
