Fonts not antialiased in GNOME

Hi all, I installed gnome on my arch linux installation last night. everything is running smoothly except for the fonts. They look jagged and i don't think they're antialiased. I've tried turning on "Subpixel Smoothing" in System > Preferences > Appearance > Fonts. I'm using "Sans 10" for my fonts at 95 dpi. How do I get my fonts to look good and not all jagged? tried looking in the wiki, but i couldn't find anything. any help appreciated. thanks. smile

Re: Fonts not antialiased in GNOME

Install cairo-cleartype freetype2-cleartype libxft-cleartype

and relogin into GNOME.

Re: Fonts not antialiased in GNOME

Thanks for your reply, flamelab. I typed in "pacman -S cairo-cleartype freetype2-cleartype libxft-cleartype" but i get an error that those packages don't exist in the sync db... any thoughts? thanks again.
