Re: kde 3.5.10

Did you ever try 4.3? What's the problem? Sure, you can still compile 3.5, but it will get more and mroe complicated (e.g. it does not compile with current autotools)

Re: kde 3.5.10

Tanis' repo isn't working anymore.

But, as Pierre said, there is no problem.

You can use KDE 4.3, instead.

Hi Pierre, ..any day use pc for work and for hobby, and sincerly kde 4.3 is inusable for example i move/copy much file from/to remote ftp and receive 90% case "not possible copy file blah blah" and have new ".part" file to rename at hand (this if file already exist with same name, not ask me change name ecc.. simple add new ".part" file and show error message)

Another if modify bookmark of konqueror is a tragedy ..always crash after 1/2 moved/deleted sad

Another big problem (for me), i use konqueror as file manager (kfmclient openProfile filemanagement) ..lateral sx (Navigation Panel) not refresh change in primary window i have any time to use F9 for close/reopen (refresh) ..for example if delete various directory ..in "Navigation Panel" it's not deleted ..remain visible ..not exist, simply is visible, i work with much directory and have to delete recreate ecc.. ..and work any day with this is stressed sad ..my F9 button is consumed.

Any day I mourn kde 3.5.10, if exist any angel ..please compile for me smile

Re: kde 3.5.10

you could use kdemod's kde 3.5.10 packages... http://chakra-project.org/download-kdemod3.html

although i also consider 4.3 to be stable.

In the hope that is compatible with the modernizations of last Arch.

Oh.. I'm happy for you, for me no.

That bug was reported ages ago -- since 4.0, I think.  They've never fixed it yet.

Well, I think it still has not been rebuilt for the libjpeg update so it needs libjpeg6 from the AUR.  Other than that, it should work fine.

Re: kde 3.5.10

Is kdemod3 still alive? We use libjpeg7 for a quite long time now.

Re: kde 3.5.10

I guess it's not very popular among the users of the state-of-the-art Arch, but some of us are reluctant to update. Specially when there's not apparent benefit and more than a headache in the migration.

Aside the libjpeg version (available in AUR), KDE3 works as smooth as always with the last Arch packages.
