Hello,
I configured my Samsung n130 and everything works fine so far.
The touchpad also works ok with synaptics, but i cannot scroll with two finger nor i can use right and middle button with two and three finger tapping.
synclient -l
shows
FingerLow = 24
FingerHigh = 29
FingerPress = 255
EmulateTwoFingerMinZ = 280
EmulateTwoFingerMinW = 7
VertEdgeScroll = 0
HorizEdgeScroll = 0
VertTwoFingerScroll = 1
HorizTwoFingerScroll = 1
ClickFinger1 = 1
ClickFinger2 = 2
ClickFinger3 = 3
TapButton1 = 1
TapButton2 = 2
TapButton3 = 3
In my xorg.conf i have
# Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "SHMConfig" "on"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
Option "VertEdgeScroll" "1"
Option "VertTwoFingerScroll" "0"
Option "HorizEdgeScroll" "1"
Option "HorizTwoFingerScroll" "0"
Option "UpDownScrolling" "1"
Option "TapButton1" "1"
Option "TapButton2" "2"
Option "TapButton3" "3"
Option "ClickFinger1" "1"
Option "ClickFinger2" "2"
Option "ClickFinger3" "3"
Option "MinSpeed" "0.3"
Option "MaxSpeed" "0.6"
I also tried HAL with same settings and same occurs.

Come on, no one?
Though I hardly use the touchpad, it's really annoying when i forget the mouse at home.
I haven't found anything satisfying on the inet.
Afais two-finger-scrolling is supported on Samsung touchpads.

I have a Compaq laptop with synaptics touchpad and my 2-finger scrolling worked as soon as I installed xf86-input-synaptics. I didn't have to edit any files and I'm running without an xorg.conf.

If you're using gnome, be sure to check the settings in System->Preferences->Mouse->Trackpad.
That got two-finger clicking and dragging working for me. Still no luck with 3-finger clicking for me though.

@emphire, thanks for the solution.
I use an Asus eeepc and I wasn't able to tap or scroll, since the upgrade to gnome 2.28.
Your post helped me to fix it.

Ok, thanks folks!
Finally I found an application which works ok and covers most of my usage on the N130:

Two finger scrolling works not so good here.
"EmulateTwoFingerMinW " is the variable which determines when one or two fingers are used, but it is not so accurate.
However, I mostly use my usb-mouse...

Palm detection is supposed to cause problems with 2-finger scrolling. You might want to try disabling plam detection and see if 2-finger scrolling works better for you. Let us know if you ever get 3-finger tapping to work!
