Start a gui application via ssh session using the remote display.

This is not about X forwarding, but about how to launch the gui application in SSH session so it's window appears on a remote display, and not my own.

The problem is when i try to set DISPLAY=:0.0, all X applications tell me "no protocol specified".
The remote host is running Ubuntu 9.10 in my case.
