Firefox identification and problems with some websites

I've experienced it with a Polish site: http://www.onet.pl. There are normally some gadgets forming a left column -- most browsers under most systems display it correctly but Firefox under Arch doesn't. Finally I found a solution: the problem is due to Firefox identifies itself as a 'Namoroka' and numerous websites cannot identify such useragent. The solution is:

Type 'about:config' in the URL bar, ignore the warning, search for 'general.useragent.extra.firefox' then change 'Namoroka' to 'Firefox'

Hope this tip may be useful for someone.

Re: Firefox identification and problems with some websites

I FireBrand my firefox with each new release, usually. Fixes all of that stuff and gives me the right icons to boot. big_smile
