Can't you turn it off completely?
Not sure if Gnome overrides system settings, but you can try https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DPMS#Turn_off_DPMS
I have setted it up as you advices, now we will see how it will work Will let you know soon...
If you want the screensaver to detect when flash is playing and disable itself just for the movie (but keep it active otherwise), then this may be helpful for you: http://www.webupd8.org/2012/05/2-ways-t … sable.html
I've tried the LightsOn script mentioned in the article and had mixed results. I haven't tried the other program they mentioned (Caffeine), but I suppose you could use that and just set it to block the screensaver whenever flash-plugin-container is detected.
That script is mentioned a couple times on the forums too, e.g. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=130447
very good ! problem solved !
