"ibus-daemon" starts every time I start the Xorg server. I see that "ibus-daemon" is a child of "gnome-session". The directory "~/.config/autostart" is empty. Where else this weaselly daemon could sneak in?
# pacman -Q | grep ibus

ibus-anthy 1.2.7-1

I know that in Fedora, if using openbox, there was an input method section in /etc/xdg. There might be something in one of the files there, my disclaimer being that this was in Fedora and CentOS and not with Gnome.
