[Solved] Does udisks2 replace udisks?

short and sweet really -- does udisks2 replace/remove the need for udisks?

I noticed it as a dependancy when I was installing gvfs to enable auto-mounting of USB / optical devices in Thunar (using xfce) -- following the wiki guide.

[bonus follow up question]
I also heard mention of udisksctl on a blog post when I was researching this, is this going to be a replacement for both udisks/udisk2 and is it available for Arch?

Thanks

no. udisks 2 isn't backwards compatible, so anything that was written for udisks will still require that version.

@Scimmia -- sorry for the late reply and thanks for clarifying that for me, really appreciated!

I can keep both now and know that it's no worries big_smile
