samba in Nautilus

Hello,

i don't get samba work for Nautilus. smbclient samba gnome-vfs gvfs-smb are installed.
and i did this:

# cp /etc/samba/smb.conf.default /etc/samba/smb.conf

is there something else to do?

smb.conf is only of interest if your machine is going to be a samba server; i.e. you are sharing directories with the local network. 

You say the Samba for Nautilus is not working.  What are you trying?  Is the computer to which you are trying to connect a Windows box, or is it a *nix box? 

What if you tell Nautilus to go directly to the IP address of the host in the form:  smb://192.168.1.1  or whatever the IP address of the machine is?

ok, with ip it works. when i click on brows network and then on the folder Windows Network the following error appears:

Unable to access location
Failed to retrieve share list from server

Try to list the shares from the server with

smbclient -L host

Start Nautllus from a terminal, try and connect to the needed share, see if the terminal gives anymore info.

I can reach my second computer with ip but not with name. With name the error from above appear. This computer i can't reach neither with name nor with ip probably because i don't share something on this computer. I cant even share something in nautilus because the options are not there.
terminal shows no errors.
