How am I supose to know which version of Arch Linux I am to download?

Today I finaly decided to see what all the happiness is about by downloading and installing Arch linux. But when I went to the download section of the website I could not find out if Arch Linux 32 bit or 64 bit is available. All I found was the magnet link, torrent link, and all the servers to choose from. But even after downloading the Arch Linux ISO and looking at the properties for the ISO it does not show if its 32 bit or 64 bit. How do I find out if the Arch Linux ISO I am downloading is 32 bit or 64 bit?

ISO is for both architectures. You will choose whether to install i686 or x86_64 version when you boot from the ISO.

You're welcome. You can find a detailed installation guide here. Also try reading the wiki, most of the problems you will encounter will have a solution at there.

Re: How am I supose to know which version of Arch Linux I am to download?

The download page has a link to the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installation_Guide which says "A single image is provided which can be booted into an i686 and x86_64 live system to install Arch Linux". I'm not sure if it's necessary to repeat this info on the download page, since you either know this already e.g. if you've been using Arch or you're new to Arch and you should read the Installation Guide anyway.

Re: How am I supose to know which version of Arch Linux I am to download?

I've tweaked the Beginners' Guide at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … ion_medium so this should be crystal clear to anybody new to Arch. It is obvious a little further down that page and personally I would read through the guide before beginning but for the less timid beginner, this edit should do it.

Personally, I didn't read the Installation Guide when I installed - I just read the Beginners' Guide and any linked pages which seemed relevant.
