Occasional Mouse Lag in i3 KDE or XFCE

Hi,

I'm getting occasional mouse lag with both USB mice and the touch pad on my IBM Thinkpad laptop. It happens in i3 KDE and XFCE so I'm thinking it must be an X issue? It only happens occasionally maybe once every couple of hours for maybe a minute.

Anyone know where to look to find out what might be causing this?

Thanks.

Same here. Packages are fully updated. Intel drivers.

starting with dmesg and xorg logs is always a good idea.

For me it's solved. Appset-qt was using too much CPU...
