HELP!

I don't have ATI, but it seems that you already don't have catalyst-utils installed, and you do have mesa-libgl. So, did you try selecting number 2 lib32-mesa-libgl? Skype needs 32bit libraries, and it seems logic to install the same lib you already have in 64bits.

Here is the deal. I need
skypea meaningful thread title.
Fixed that for you.
Please consider how you present yourself and how it will effect those who might otherwise help you.
Further, why are you trying to install the catalyst verion when you don't use catalyst? It seems you alread have mesa-libgl, so use the mesa-libgl verion. (oops, beat to this point).

Welcome to the Arch forums. Before you post a question like this you should read the following;

and most importantly;

With Arch you are responsible for your system. No one will tell you which driver to install and take responsibility for you.

What is your video card? That's what you should be installing. If arch installed drivers for everything (by default), unless you change video cards all the time, remove the ones you don't need. Output from lspci | grep "vga" should help.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

Arch certainly doesn't do that. specifically catalyst.

No one here is responsible for your system, or can guarantee anything.
And what if your desktop manager don't load after installing it?
No big deal, you would only have to install back the old driver from console and thats it. If you find that uncomfortable, then I think you are using the wrong distro.
Use common sense:
If catalyst-utils and mesa-libgl conflict, and is asking you to uninstall mesa, it means you already have mesa installed, right?
So, if your system has mesa, and your system is working fine with it, then what option you should choose for lib32-libgl?
1) lib32-catalyst-utils 2) lib32-mesa-libgl 3) lib32-nvidia-304xx-utils
4) lib32-nvidia-utils

No.
Open source is about opening the source code complying with this conditions, period. The ability to choose among several packages is just a nice side effect.

If you do xorg, it installs all xf86-video-* and dri-*.

You were given options and just hit enter. What did you really expect?
Let's make this simple. Do you want to use the open source drivers or the binary drivers?

Why would you do that?

Well, yes, if you ask pacman to download everything that starts with xf86-video, then yes, it will download all of it. cfr question is still pertinent though, since there really is no reason to do it other than as a proof of concept.

That's a whole lot of chatter for nothing. OP, help yourself, the previous posts should be more than sufficient. The next time you start a thread, please read and reread the Arch Way and Forum Etiquette first. They're obviously not applied in this thread.
