I know I'm being thick, but I cannot work out what the line
'Link this unit to default.target.'
after the mystuff.target entry actually means. Would some kind soul please take pity on me and explain in words suitable for the hard of thinking?
Many, many thanks,

It's actually the other way around: default.target should be symlinked to mystuff.target (if you want to do it the way that part of the wiki suggests). Because of the Alias= line in the [Install] section, systemd will do this for you when you run `systemctl --user enable mystuff.target` so there is no need to manually create symlinks.

OK, so that's not at all an ominous line to read, oh no, not at all ;-)
Thanks for the explanation, that makes perfect sense. However, as the only reasons I'm trying to do this are
1) To try and learn a bit more about systemd and
2) To get the Dropbox icon in my notification area
I'm wondering whether I should be trying something else.
Anyway, many thanks, again,
