Hello,
I recently bought a new toshiba laptop. It came with a realtek 8723AE Wireless Network Adapter. From the begining, I am having trouble having a reliable connection on the laptop. I get extreme high ping's on this specific laptop alone. In the order of 1000's.
workmachine% ping -c 5 www.google.com
PING www.google.com (74.125.235.16) 56(84) bytes of data.

I don't understand why there is such high packetloss in the second case > 50% . I ran both of these commands one after the other. Should I get the hardware checked out ?

The problem lies in my wifi router. I think there is a lott of interference near my apartment. After trying out different channels the packet loss was considerably less.
Also, I have changed the topic as SOLVED.
