Hi!
As mentioned in subject I want to install arch on this laptop. I have seen that there were boot issues that can brick the device.
I wanted to enquire what is the situation today? Is it safe to boot/install arch now?
Thanks!

It has always been safe to install Arch on those computers... it has just been a bit shady to boot with UEFI on them. If you use bios compatibility mode you will certanly be fine, but if you want to use UEFI, I am pretty sure they disabled (removed?) the offending kernel module that was causing this problem.

Can you please specify how to use bios compatibility mode? Where to switch it on? Thank you!

I have been using a similar model in UEFI mode for over six months with no issues other than the odd kernel panic if I tried to load the samsung_laptop module. This is wel documented in the thread about bricking.
As for your other question, if you are going to install Arch, you should be prepared to do your own research and not expect to have your hand held. DuckDuckGo is there for a reason.
Not an Installation issue, moving to Newbie Corner.
