Question about my mouse

I am new to arch linux,(more accurately linux)and I find the distribution much more wonderful than I thought. However, I have encountered the question below:
I am using a laptop. If I am working on battery power and leave the mouse there for about 5 seconds, then the mouse seems to be "shut down" and I have to click the left button to move the cursor. This phenomenon doesn't appear when I am using AC power. I think this has something to do with my power settings but I can't figure out how to change it.
PS.
1. I am using gnome
2. I doesn't remember if this happened before. Maybe it is related to my recent update.

Thanks!

Re: Question about my mouse

I don't use GNOME, but that sounds like something that might be changed in a "Power Settings" dialog or something.

Did you install any sort of special power savings software?

What laptop do you have? When you say you "leave the mouse there for about 5 seconds", do you mean a USB mouse or the built-in trackpad? If it's a mouse, what type of mouse is it?

What packages were installed in your "recent update"?

Re: Question about my mouse

This thread appears to have information about your problem: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=150114

Also, the Laptop Mode Tools software may be able to help you.

Please put your "pacman.log" output in [ code ] tags.

Reinstalling xorg won't have any effect. This is Arch Linux. If it's installed then it's installed correctly. smile
