# service
bash: service: command not found
Am I missing something? Or have I misread something?
Do I need to re-install a package or am I calling the wrong commands?

What are you expecting `service` to do?

I think you are looking for systemctl

Hi all.
I'm all set now. Here's where I screwed up. I did the manual configuration to a wireless point. That worked. Then I wanted to fiddle with NetworkManager and that bombed and created all sorts of unpleasantries (not surprising.)
Now, I figured, screw this and restart. So I did. Well, after restarting my laptop -- took me a moment to find systemctl and figure it out (thank GloW_on_dub!) -- and then I started and enabled NetworkManager and several other services. I'm very content so far that things are working like a charm.
