[SOLVED] A "template" directory is automatically created in my home

Hi all,

I have this little annoyance here.. I have a "Templates" directory
created in my home all the time. I have no idea which of the
programs I'm using does that, it's always there.

Any idea how I can find out what program does this?

Thanks a lot in advance

Pretty sure this has been covered here before. It is PCManFM that does it and there is a setting to disable it. Searching will tell you what it is.

You probably want to read more about xdg user directories, especially XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR variable.

Thanks.. I created the user-dirs file and I didn't put a line for the templates folder.
This seem to fix the problem. I couldn't really find any other solution googling around.

You can also set and export the XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR variable in ~/.profile (or ~/.bash_profile or any other initialization/environment file).
