...and the menu bar changed from red to blue!
[2014-07-06 17:58] [PACMAN] upgraded dwm (6.0-1 -> 6.0-2)
After my last update DWM's menu color change right away, but didn't notice some features had stopped working with key commands, because I don't use them all the time.
Alt+Shift+Return works to spawn new window, but some broken features include,
Alt+[c, t, f, w, m, e] do not work to switch tile modes (but Alt+p works to open dmenu, and Alt+[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9] still works to change to different view.)
Alt+[h,j,k,l] do not work to resize the master window tile
Looking at the date in the last line of the previous update shows a keyboard update. I don't have need to customize the system's keyboard mappings, so I don't know whether this is relevant to the issue.
[2014-06-15 10:17] [PACMAN] upgraded xkeyboard-config (2.11-2 -> 2.12-1)
I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting...rebuild the DWM package? or, change the modkey? or, troubleshoot keymappings?
Here is the pacman.log file for my last two updates, 6-16 and 7-6
[2014-06-15 10:08] [PACMAN] Running 'pacman -Syu emacs'
[...]
// UPDATE. I've removed the pacman.log output because searching for a completely different issue, I found my own post!! These blanket log outputs really don't serve any purpose after the question has been answered. There should be an expiration date.

So, you upgraded dwm and are now running vanilla.
If you want to customise it, rebuild it with your own config.h, that's how it works.

You can put your customized packages in IgnorePkg.

Thank you both for your responses. I was able to rebuild and I will enable the ignore the package option--a good suggestion.
