Using the HDMI-IN port

Hello and thanks for taking the time reading this topic!

Here is my situation:
I have a computer (Samsung SUR40) that is running arch and doing it well.
That computer has two HDMI connectors one is dedicated for Input the other for Output.
The output works perfect.
Using the HDMI input is a whole different can of worms.

Does anybody knows how to stream video/audio through the hdmi-in, so you could plug in a laptop/chromecast and use it as a monitor?
I can imagine that if you could somehow connect SMPlayer/VLC to /dev/media-ish-name it could work.

Thanks Again,
Lacsapix

P.S. I've heard mentions of VDPAU on the purple pages of the Internet, so far no luck
