Grub loader screen became blank (grey screen with vertical stripes)

I am using arch linux with GNOME DE. While doing some work, the system totally hanged and everything was frozen. I did hard shutdown to restart my laptop. From then on my grub loader screen has got affected and became blank. Then it boots into the OS normally. Screenshots below :

What might have gone wrong? How to solve.

Hello, first off, I would improve your title by changing 'plain' to 'blank'.
Tell us about your video system chipset(s) and whether it is a hybrid graphics setup.

Thanks, title has been updated.
Mine's a Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBY laptop with Intel Gen7 graphics chipset. Not a hybrid graphics setup
