Hi All,
I recently intalled a GeForece GTX 750ti using the nvidia/nvidia-libgl drivers. Everything works great except for areas of a my desktop where light gray should show up are now displayed as a slight purple tint. I've looked in nvidia-settings, nothing stands out. Don't know if it'll help but I will post my conf file below.
I run KDE Plasma, and not only does it show up in some KDE applications, but also shows up in firefox. All my searches have resulted in dead ends. Wondering if anyone has run into this problem. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a quick solution becaues this is killing my eyesight! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!

Does it remain when suspending the compositor?
Does it show up in screenshots?
Run "nvidia-settings" and check the monitor config, notably depth (8bpc/6bpc) and color correction (gamma ramps)
Your subject is btw. misleading, FF is not a KDE app at all.

It does show up in screen shots, suspending compositor has no effects. Depth is 8bpc, changing it has no effect. Gamma will not work because it will affect ALL colors. Any other ideas?

Post a screenshot so we can see if it has the tint on our monitors. Whether or not it does have it on other machines will help in figuring it out.

You should see a purple tint all round the borders and left left panel under my username, everything else on the desktop looks normal. I've already tried this by sending a screenshot to my ipad and it looks normal, just thought I'd throw that out there.

I don't see any purple tint. Have you tried a different cable between your computer and monitor? Also, big image should be a link.

I don't have a spare hdmi cable but I did notice a few threads when I was researching this issue that mentioned cables being a problem, so I will have to try that as an option if I can't find another solution. Why did it have to be purple lol.

Well, I tried an extra hdmi cable that my friend had laying around but that didn't make a difference. Could this be due to a defective video card? I just bought this thing from Amazon!

Solved the issue. It was unrelated to software. It actually had to do with getting my display settings to work with the new video card. Peace out!
