How to remove mate/gnome desktops safely?

Hey

I installed plasma/kde apparently as my main DE but now I've stacked mate applications in the KDE.. so my question is how I safely remove all mate packages, configs, applications and leave KDE as is?

I need to remove mate and gnome DE and applications etc but of course leave my system files alone which I can then use in KDE..

Hello!

Please familiar yourself with pacman. The answer to your question is clearly described on that wiki page!
Also, anything in your "HOME" directory is yours to do what you whant with.

It is advised to follow the How to post guide when posting on the Arch forum. If one consciously jumps over these elementary steps like reading the wiki and providing necessary information about the problem, one can be regarded as a Help Vampire.
