Hi!
I have icedtea-web version 1.6.2-2 installed, with latest jdk8-openjdk 8.u121. But I can't get the web plugin to work in Firefox.
I'm trying to view this applet: http://javatester.org/version.html but only a blank rectangle appears. The same problem appears with any Java applet, such as the ones here.
I tried rebuilding pluginreg.dat but this doesn't solve my problem.
Do you have any ideas why this happens?

Hey marmistrz,
do you have set the permission in Firefox to start the IcedTea-Plugin? In AddOns -> Plugins make sure to have set it to "always active" or "ask" for IcedTea.
If that is correct, then check if you disabled the plugin for the respective site by clicking the "lego-brick" (?) in the adress-bar when on the site.
And if that still don't solve it: What version of Firefox are you using?
And just for the record: The check would start for me, if I'd let it, but I do not trust that site, so I wouldn't let it run. The check on the official Java-site [0] works 100% for me.

That's set to 'ask to activate'

I was asked for permission for running the plugin and I explicitly granted it.
And if that still don't solve it: What version of Firefox are you using?
Mozilla Firefox 50.1.0, the latest version from the repos.
And just for the record: The check would start for me, if I'd let it, but I do not trust that site, so I wouldn't let it run. The check on the official Java-site [0] works 100% for me.
