[Solved] gnome-extra package stops gnome from working

Hi, just recently got archlinux running on my laptop and decided to install the gnome-extra package, prior to installing this gnome worked flawlessly but as soon as it finishes installing the packages it appears to crash, gnome the screen goes black and then opens the initial tty. The gnome cursor is still showing over the top of this and still works but nothing in the window itself works and i have to open a new tty and remove this package to get gnome to work again, i was hoping someone here could help as id rather not manually install all 50 packages until i find the one that causes this.

Look in your journal and Xorg.log for pointers as to what is actually crashing.

Thanks, that did the trick turned out to be the clock app and reinstalling it fixed all the issues!
