Microphone not recognized on Lenovo ThinkPad T15 gen 2

I was having a Skype meeting today and it turned out Skype wasn't recognizing my microphone, neither the inbuilt one, nor when I plugged in headphones+mic into the combo 3.5mm jack.

I checked with other tools and found out that nothing recognizes the microphone.
For example,

arecord -d5 test.wav

recorded nothing but very faint crackling.

I suspect that the problem might be with pulse audio rather than alsa. Here's what I see in the alsamixer:

When I toggle the CAPTURE bar by pressing space, the mute mic LED on my keyboard lights on and off. However, that doesn't make the microphone work.

Audio output works well both via the laptop speaker and via analog headphones when plugged in and the output switches accordingly.

I tried adding

load-module module-alsa-sink
load-module module-alsa-source device=hw:0,0

with or without the first line, but that didn't make the microphone work. An additional source did appear in pavucontrol, though, and it wasn't muted.

Here's what I have installed:

linux 5.13.4.arch1-1
linux-api-headers 5.12.3-1
linux-firmware 20210716.b7c134f-1
util-linux 2.37-3
util-linux-libs 2.37-3
alsa-lib 1.2.5.1-3
alsa-topology-conf 1.2.5.1-1
alsa-ucm-conf 1.2.5.1-1
alsa-utils 1.2.5.1-1
zita-alsa-pcmi 0.3.2-3
libpulse 14.2-3
pulseaudio 14.2-3
pavucontrol 1:4.0-2

Here's some info from possibly relevant commands.

I installed very recently and I hadn't messed with alsa or pulse audio configs.
