[SOLVED] BSPWM config not loaded

Hi,

I am using SDDM, after entering credentials the bspwm session wont start, I have to manually restart bspwm (super+shift+r) for the desktop to show.

I have a rule that opens pcmanfm floating, in the video bellow shows how i can open pcmanfm and it opens tiled instead of floating, once i reload the desktop, i can open pcmanfm and it opens correctly.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/ogq4el7t … d.mp4/file

-> both bspwmrc and sxhkd are executable

bspwm config:

#!/bin/sh

Re: [SOLVED] BSPWM config not loaded

Hi All,

What was causing the issue was easyeffects. Here is how I resolved it:

Removed these lines from my bspwm config:

pgrep easyeffects | xargs kill

easyeffects --gapplication-service

Created a script that checks if the service is already running, if so, then it wont start it. This way if I need to restart my desktop I can do that and prevent dups processes:

#!/bin/bash

# Check if EasyEffects is running
if ! pgrep -x "easyeffects" > /dev/null
then

     # Start EasyEffects
      easyeffects --gapplication-service >/dev/null 2>&1 &
fi

Then just call this script inside your bspwm config:

#Easyeffects
~/.config/easyeffects/easy-auto.sh

I hope this can help someone else.

Cheers.
