My Xorg locked!!!!what's happening?

I got a new Arch 3 days ago, I installed Xorg and configured it, but it locked everytime when I start it, mouse, keyboard...everythign without control, it is dead! I don't know what the problem is.

I look for the solution time and time again, I tried every way I found from Forums, but the problem still there: It is dead!

By the way, I installed openbox and SLiM for my X, and my Graphics card is GEFORCE'GO 7300, maybe they are helped.

Please help!

Thanks in advance!:(

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

make sure that hal is in your daemon array in /etc/rc.conf
if not edit the grub config, add a 3 behind the root device and reboot

As an alternative to the input hotplugging method. Personally I prefer this one, because I can run without dbus etc. However, I am sometimes considered crazy. smile

Hello Zrf 939, IMO if you are an experienced user and do most of the things yourself Mr.k.mandla way can be followed or you can install hal and put it in the daemon array preferably next to syslog-ng. also
   Section "ServerFlags"
     Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
   EndSection
in your xorg.conf.

You could add the AutoAddDevices False line, but I've found disabling all input-related lines and sections and letting AutoAddDevices do what it wants works too smile
