KMS troubles...

I stopped using KMS. Why? Several reasons:
1) For some reason when KMS is enabled I can no longer set up Display power management and as a result the monitor doesn't turn off.
2) I can't change the resolution - it's stuck at 1280x800 and when playing games under wine, which require different resolution (For example Frozen Throne doesn't support wide screen resolutions so I'm stuck at 1024x768) the screen is garbled, the picture is wider than it should be.
3) In display properties at kde I can't change the resolution either - it's greyed out.

Anyone know a soluon for those?

2) Frozen Throne's resolution can be set to 1280x800 in reg file of your emulator, in my case which is with cedega, it is user.reg in .cedega, just like this:

"resheight"=dword:00000384
"reswidth"=dword:000005a0

which is set its resolution to 1440x900(in HEX).

Re: KMS troubles...

Yes, but the screen is widened and unnatural. I prefer having two black lines at the sides and a real 1024x768
