I'm currently running Openbox with xcompmgr and it seems to make X completely freeze up at random. I'm unable to even switch to a tty and have to reboot. The xcompmgr command i'm running is below:
xcompmgr -c -r10 -F -f -D5 -C -o0.8 &
This also happens when xscreensaver kicks into gear. It seems to freeze up completely at random but over the course of 12 hours it has frozen up in one of these instances at least 3-4 times a piece. I'm unable to place my finger on what's going on with X or my nvidia driver to fix the issue.
Below is my xorg.conf
