[SOLVED] CTRL + ALT + Backspace not killing Xorg

Since the last update I noticed a very strange situation. Usualy I close Openbox using it's "Exit Openbox" option in the menu, but I was in a hurry and tried CTRL + ALT + Bksp... it doesn't work.
Even worse, X freezes from time to time. I never had these issues... I'm on a Dell Vostro 1310 laptop with Intel graphics.

Please help.

Re: [SOLVED] CTRL + ALT + Backspace not killing Xorg

what do you do in the case of not having an xorg.conf? is it safe to create that file and only put those entries in?

Re: [SOLVED] CTRL + ALT + Backspace not killing Xorg

man xorg

Ctrl+Alt+Backspace
               Immediately kills the server -- no questions asked. This is
               disabled by default. It can be enabled with the -retro command
               line flag or by setting the DontZap xorg.conf(5) file option to
               a FALSE value.

if you don't want to use a xorg.conf you could use the -retro Option.

$ startx -- -retro

if you use a loginmanager you could edit the /usr/bin/startx script.
add the Option to the serverargs.

...
serverargs="-retro"
...
