problem with KDE

Hi

I have both gnome and KDE  installed on my laptop.
I was able to run compiz on both gnome and KDE.but some thing happen now that it is not working properly now.
When i login into KDE,it loads and i am able to see startup applications runing like kopete and evolution.and able to move windows.all this have kde window decoration.
But after 1-2 seconds compiz loads.Then,i am logged out of session or i am not able to move  any window .there is no response if i press alt-tab also.I have to restart my laptop.

If i login in KDE fail safe mode,i have no problem what so ever.I am able to get compiz running and have emerald window decoration.
In gnome also, compiz is running perfectly fine.Only problem is that in both kde failsafe and gnome is  that if i compiz-fusion icon and click  on 'reload window manager'.I am logged out of my system.previously i was able to reload.
Please help.

How important is Compiz for you?
You could just use Kwin instead.

(sorry I can't seem to find this setting in System settings, but it's there)

I disabled desktop effects from kde. now i am get it working fine . thanks.
