GNOME with Compiz/KWin4 style Zoom? [SOLVED]

IMO the Zoom plugin is probably the most godsend of plugins in Compiz.  I recently found out that both Windows 7 and KDE4 also have similar Zoom functionalities.  Does gnome have a composited zoom feature with key/mouse bindings, and how can I use it?  Also is there a desktop-agnostic version that I can use with my tiling window managers?  Thank you!

Working as fast as compiz/kwin ? Sadly, no. You can try cairo-compmgr; the last version has a functional zoom plugin, but it uses *a lot* of cpu power. If anyone know any other way please share it, it's the only thing which is worth of compiz.
