My printer (which is an IJ300) was working perfectly fine when I had KDEMod 3.5. Now in KDEMod 4.2, it doesn't print at all. I ran system-config-printer-kde and got this:
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":0.0".

if not config.DOWNLOADABLE_DRIVER_SUPPORT:

What does this mean and how do I fix it? I even tried running it as root.

As far as I can tell, it's an error in the Python code. See http://chakra-project.org/bugs/showreport.php?bugid=218.
