[SOLVED] buttons in smplayer are disabled

Hi,
since the last mplayer upgrade archlinux dropped support for the tiny and fast gmplayer gui, forcing people to recompile or use the slow and bloated alternatives like smplayer.

But is smplayer working for you? I can start movies and they play fine but the controls on the bottom of the window for pausing, stoping, the progress bar,... are always disabled. All other controls on the top of the window or the menu-bar work fine. But also in the menu the buttons for pausing,playing,etc.. are disabled.

Re: [SOLVED] buttons in smplayer are disabled

That happens when smplayer can't read or parse the mplayer output.

Be sure you don't have in the mplayer config file a line with really-quiet=1 or msgcolor=1 or similar.

Re: [SOLVED] buttons in smplayer are disabled

@rvm: thanks for the info! I have infact deactivated the output some time ago with really-quiet=1.
