Looking for mailing list client recommendation

Hi

What do you guys use to handle your subscriptions on mailing lists?

I'm looking for a program which is good at mailing lists, eg. auto-wrap lines at 75 characters, prepend "> " when replying, etc.

The application should preferable be CLI-based...what can you recommend? Mutt? Pine? xxx?

Thanks smile

Best Regards
Kenni

i use mutt and love it (gmail specific config's in sig).  you can set up folders and hooks to handle mailing lists but i just send arch stuff to inbox and colorcode it with a mutt colors file.

Re: Looking for mailing list client recommendation

If you are at all into Emacs, I can't recommend Gnus highly enough.
You can customize it to your heart's content.

The following line, for instance, gives me immediate access to all the
lists on gmane:

(setq gnus-select-method '((nntp "news.gmane.org")))

A couple nice things about Gnus:

1) It also works as a great rss reader via the backends of nnrss and
nnshimbun (The latter will pull the complete text of articles into the
newsreader. E.g., if you're reading the New York Times, you can read
each article entirely in Gnus as a single page with all the ads and
cruft stripped away.)

2) It is tightly integrated into emacs, so you can easily go back and
forth between posts and other buffers you're working on, just as you
can clip links and snippets from mailing list posts to notes files via
remember, etc.
