[solved] vmware workstation 6.5.2 problem, can only run as root...

I've just installed vmware 6.5.2, but unfortunately I can only run it as root, it returns the following error:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Gio::Error'

I've followed the archwiki and have applied the patch to kernel 2.29

I've found the following topics about the issue but their solutions dont apply....:

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/177471

I can run vmware, but only as root, and I don't think i should...
I really need this to be working because i dont use windows, unless to program in flex/flash and to run some stupid but important programmes needed in my university... And i've been searching around and looks like vmware is the best virtualization enviroment.
