Setting fontname for dmenu

Hi folks,

I would like to adopt dmenu to the fonts I use for the panel and conky. But I can not figure out in what way to supply the fontname for dmenu's option '-fn'.
Can someone please give me a hint.

Thanks.

Re: Setting fontname for dmenu

I found this thread as well but missed the most important bit of it:

Font selection with

xfontsel

and pasting the obscure string describing the font and everything like in:

dmenu_run -fn '-misc-liberation mono-medium-r-normal-*-11-*-*-*-m-*-*-*'

really does work whereas

dmenu_run -fn 'terminus-8'

does not.

Thanks for pointing me there again smile

Btw, if somebody runs into the same problem don't forget to

xset fb rehash

before running xfontsel after installing new fonts.
