Keyboard layout not working

New Arch user here, previously a Gentoo user. I just finished installing Arch, everything is working just fine except for one thing: My keyboard layout, it's supposed to be Spanish (Latin America) not Spanish (Spain). I have tried

setxkbmap la

which just disables my keyboard except for the Backspace, Arrows and Enter keys. I have also tried editing xorg.conf and modifying the HAL policiy but still doesn't work. I suspect the layout is not in the system although setxkbmap doesn't complain. I've tried Google but nothing relevant comes up. I'm really lost here guys. Any idea?

Also, does anyone know how to change Shiretoko for an actual Firefox?

Thanks in Advance

Re: Keyboard layout not working

1. http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xor … _setxkbmap

Hope this helps.

2. Shiretoko is the actual 3.5 firefox. Yoi can check it in the Help/About Shiretoko. What's the problem with it, missing standard firefox icon ?
