when the computer is idle, at a regular interval, the screen fades to black, and a couple seconds later it goes back to desktop.

it works when I launch it with
gnome-command-screensaver --lock
and when I set it to come on at 1 min
but not when I set it to 10 min

this might have to do with gnome-power-manager. I'm not sure if the issue is with the screensaver or the monitor turning off as I told it to in power management.

I've tried downgrading them, but I' haven't tried downgrading them both at the same time
I'll try that later today.

Did that work for you? I'm just getting around to this bug. So many small things to perfect an install...
