thunar ignores .gtkrc-2.0

i tried to change the look of thunar which i use as filemanager in openbox
changing theme with gtk2_prefs or the xfce4-appearance-settings
doesnt have any effect. even rewriting my .gtkrc-2.0 file by hand doesnt help
My .gtkrc-2.0 file

include "~/.gtkrc.mine"
gtk-theme-name = "Darklooks"
style "user-font"
{
        font_name="Sans 10"
}
widget_class "*" style "user-font"

Alone starting the gnome-appearance-properties changes thunar in the style i like, but of course loads all this heavy gnome stuff and the changes will be gone once i restart openbox

Try deleting it and the *.mine one and use Lxappearance. You could also try checking the file permissions.
