xcompmgr, something's wrong
I was trying out xcompmgr to see what it could do for Tint2 transparency:
My "wallpaper" disapears and I see those warnings when starting xcompmgr. Also windows seem to "stick" to my root window when I move them around. So I tried without a wallpaper:
Now there are no warnings, but as you can see, there's no transparency in Tint2 either. So what am I missing?

tint2 transparency need a background.
try to put a background with feh or nitrogen.

Thanks! In fact I was setting the background, only it was with ImageMagick's display-command. It appears that it doesn't work well with xcompmgr. If I set the background with feh, everything is fine.
