heya,
I'm using Wicd to manage my ethernet/wireless connections.
I've started up the wicd-client, and it's running in the system tray fine.
However, when I reboot and log back in, KDE by default attempts to restore the last session, hence it starts up Wicd. Wicd then pops up a message box saying:
Run as root - Wicd needs to access your computer's network cards.
The action you requested needs root access. Please enter root's password below or click Ignore to continue with your current privileges.
Command /usr/sbin/wicd
Password:
Remember password
This happens every login. Also, even if I tick the "Remember password" box, it still prompts for the password on the next login. Surely there's a way to make it so that Wicd won't actually need the root password to work? Or a way to get the "Remember password" box to work?
Thanks,
Victor
