KDE 4.3 default shadows for decorated windows

Hi all,

i recently switched back to KDE4 after some time with Gnome. I remember in KDE 4.2 was an option to force Kwin to use the default shadows which can be configured in the Desktop Effects section of the systemsettings so Kwin uses these shadows instead the Oxygen ones. However, i can't find this option in KDE 4.3 (called "Force default shadows for decorated windows" or similar).

Anyone knows how to change the shadow settings?

Regards

System Settings -> Desktop -> Desktop Effects -> "Enable Desktop Effects". You'll see a check-box for 'Shadows' further down. Then, under the 'All Effects' tab, scroll down to 'Shadow'
in the 'Appearance' section. Here you can adjust to your needs.

Yeah, i know this one, however it doesn't affect the normal Windows. For context-menus etc. it works as expected, but nor for Kwin-Windows.

If you install the nitrogen theme, you have more options.
I hated the blue shadows, but with nitrogen you can change that!
